Bluebird Care is supporting Dementia Action Week 2019, an annual campaign run by the Alzheimer’s Society from 20-26 May 2019.

Dementia Action Week aims to unite individuals, workplaces and communities to take action and improve the lives of people living with dementia. According to the charity, someone in the UK develops dementia every three minutes.
The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading charity for dementia, providing information and support to individuals as well as funding vital research with the hope to create lasting change for everyone affected by dementia.

This year the charity is asking the public to get involved and join the growing number of people uniting against dementia by hosting or taking part in a range of events. This includes organising an information stand in a public place to raise awareness, hosting an event for people living with dementia such as a dance, art class or gig, becoming a Dementia Friends Champion or any other fundraising activities. Where possible, make sure you invite people with dementia along to your event to make it dementia-friendly and inclusive.
