We take health seriously all the time, however, it's at times like these that we feel the need to update you with actions we've been taking to ensure the ongoing health of our customers and staff.

Covid 19 is a topic of daily conversation to all of us at Bluebird Care, both office and care workers, and we are all monitoring the situation closely. It is of the utmost importance to us that we look after not only our customers but also our staff.

While we’ve been a little quiet on the public aspect of things, this has been for good reason, as we have been working incredibly hard to ensure we continue to do our best to keep everyone safe during these troubling times.

What we are doing:

· We stay in close contact, with our governing bodies and commissioners and we make sure that we are following the most current advice and information from the government. This will go on until necessary and we will continue to meet the high standards of our service alongside the government’s guidelines.

· All our staff have infection control training when they join us and have refresher training every year. As an extra precaution, we send them weekly updates with information and advice that is up to date and relevant to the care sector along with the business. Our PASS system technology allows us to send important information and reminders to staff that they see before they start their shift and when logging in to every care call.

· We have hand sanitiser in a refillable bottle for our care staff to carry with them to all care calls. Making sure they have access to hand sanitiser at every opportunity during the calls.

· Along with the hand sanitiser we have reissued infection control leaflets and guidance in handouts and via email. Any changes to this guidance are given directly to care staff, when it happens and also added to our PASS system and weekly updates.

· All our care staff have the usual access to sufficient quantities of PPE, this includes gloves, masks, face protection and aprons and we do not have any problems getting supplies.

· We are taking every step to ensure care staff are kept up to date with any changes that may occur.

· Our offices are open and running but we kindly ask care staff and visitors to remain outside and we will come to them. We have installed ventilation systems into our Shrewsbury office to add further protection for the staff running the business. Our training for new staff and refresher training is now back to face to face but on a reduced amount of people for safety.
