We take health seriously all the time, however it's at times like these that we feel the need to update you with actions we've been taking to ensure the ongoing health of our customers and staff.
Covide 19 is a topic of daily conversation to all of us at Bluebird Care, both office and care workers, and we are all monitoring the situation closely. It is of the utmost importance to us that we look after not only our customers but also our staff.
While we’ve been a little quiet on the public aspect of things, this has been for good reason, as we have been working incredibly hard to ensure we are doing our best to keep everyone safe during these troubling times.
What we are doing:
· We have been in close contact, with our governing bodies and commissioners and we are making sure that we are following the most current advice and information from the government. This will go on until necessary and we will continue to meet the high standards of our service alongside the government’s guidelines.
· All our staff have infection control training when they join us, and have refresher training every year. As an extra precaution in these times they will see an important message every time they log into their pass system to complete a care call, reminding them of the actions they must take.
· We have liquid soap in a refillable bottle for our care staff to carry with them to all care calls. Making sure they have access to liquid soap to wash at every opportunity during the calls as it is currently difficult to purchase in the shops.
· Along with the soap we have reissued infection control leaflets and guidance in handouts and via email.
· All our care staff have the usual access to sufficient quantities of gloves and aprons and we do not have any problems getting supplies.
· We are taking every step to ensure care staff are kept up to date with any changes that may occur.
· Office staff are now working from home as much as they can, with any who need to be in the office working on rotation to avoid as much contact as possible.
