Join Bluebird Care Oldham: More Than a Job in Care

At Bluebird Care Oldham, we believe outstanding care starts with outstanding people. That is why recruitment for us is about far more than filling a vacancy or adding another name to a rota. We are building a team of kind, dependable and genuinely caring people who share our belief that every customer deserves premium, person-centred care delivered with dignity, respect and warmth.

Care is personal. It is helping somebody start their morning with a shower and get dressed for the day. It is supporting with medication, preparing breakfast or making that welcome cup of tea. It is noticing when somebody seems a little quieter than usual. It is taking the time to listen, having a proper conversation and becoming the friendly face somebody looks forward to seeing. The things many of us take for granted can make an enormous difference to a person living independently at home.

That is the standard we believe in at Bluebird Care Oldham.

We Recruit for Values

Experience in care can be incredibly valuable, but some of the very best qualities in a Care Expert cannot simply be taught. Kindness, patience, empathy and the willingness to go the extra mile are at the heart of exceptional care.

We look for people who care about the small details. People who understand that they are entering somebody’s home and becoming part of their daily life. People who will treat every customer as an individual, learn what matters to them and deliver care in the way they want it delivered.

Our customers are not a list of tasks. They are people with their own routines, personalities, families, memories and preferences. Person-centred care means recognising that and building support around the person at the heart of the care plan.

Training, Education and Continuous Development

Joining Bluebird Care Oldham means joining a business that takes learning and development seriously.

Our Academy and Recruitment Manager, Samantha Hurst, brings more than 30 years of experience in education to the Bluebird Care Oldham team. Her passion for learning, attention to detail and commitment to high standards are central to how we recruit, support and develop our Care Experts.

We want our team to feel confident in the care they provide. Training should never simply be about ticking a box or completing a course. It should give people the knowledge, practical skills and understanding they need to walk into a customer’s home feeling prepared and supported.

We also believe development should continue throughout a person’s career. Whether somebody is completely new to care or brings years of experience, there should always be opportunities to learn, grow and improve.

A Leadership Team That Understands Care

Bluebird Care Oldham has built an experienced local leadership team with a shared passion for premium care and exceptional standards.

Our Registered Manager Joanne leads our care service with a strong focus on quality and person-centred support. Deputy Registered Manager Anatoli Orfanidou brings more than two decades of care experience, alongside an exceptional understanding of compliance and a natural warmth that is reflected in the support she gives both customers and staff.

Our management team understands that Care Experts need communication, training and support. Delivering a premium care service means investing in the people responsible for delivering it every single day.

Bluebird Care Oldham has also achieved Gold Compliance recognition, the highest compliance recognition within the Bluebird Care network. For us, high standards are not simply something we talk about in recruitment advertising. They are part of how we operate our service.

Proud to Recruit Locally in Oldham

We are incredibly proud to be part of Oldham.

This is a town built on hard work, community and people looking after one another. Those values sit naturally alongside everything we believe care should be.

As Bluebird Care Oldham continues to grow, we want to create opportunities for local people who want to build a rewarding career while making a genuine difference within their own community.

Working in home care means supporting people to remain in the place where they feel safest and most comfortable. Their own home.

There is something incredibly special about helping a person maintain their independence, continue their routines and stay connected to the community they know.

As we always say, it’s good to be home.

What Does a Care Expert Do?

The role of a Care Expert can be incredibly varied because no two customers are the same.

You may support somebody with personal care and getting ready in the morning. You might assist with medication, prepare a meal or help somebody maintain good hydration and nutrition. Some customers may need support accessing their local community, while others may simply value companionship and conversation.

The role requires reliability, patience and the ability to listen.

It also requires somebody who understands the responsibility that comes with supporting another person. Families place enormous trust in care providers. Our Care Experts represent Bluebird Care Oldham in our customers’ homes and are an essential part of delivering the premium service we promise.

Care That Does Not Feel Rushed

One of the principles we regularly talk about at Bluebird Care Oldham is the importance of giving people the care they are paying for.

When a customer pays for an hour of care, we believe they should receive an hour of care.

Quality care should not feel like somebody is constantly looking at the clock or rushing through a list of tasks. Building relationships, noticing changes and delivering truly person-centred support takes time and attention.

We want to recruit Care Experts who understand the value of those relationships and take pride in delivering care properly.

Could You Be the Right Person for Bluebird Care Oldham?

You may already have years of experience in care. You might be considering care for the first time. Perhaps you have spent your life looking after family members, supporting people in your community or working in a role where compassion and communication have always come naturally.

We are interested in the person behind the application.

Are you kind?

Are you reliable?

Do you listen?

Would you treat somebody with the same dignity and respect you would want for somebody you love?

Do you take pride in doing things properly?

If the answer is yes, a career with Bluebird Care Oldham could be the right next step for you.

Build a Career That Matters

There are very few jobs where you can finish a working day knowing that your presence has genuinely improved somebody’s life.

A cup of tea, a conversation, helping somebody feel clean and comfortable, making sure medication has been taken correctly or simply providing reassurance to a family can have a much greater impact than many people realise.

At Bluebird Care Oldham, we are continuing to build a team that shares our vision for premium, outstanding and person-centred care.

We do not want to be just another care provider and we are not looking to build just another care team.

We want people who care about standards. People who want to learn. People who take pride in their work and understand the privilege of being trusted to care for another person.

If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Join Bluebird Care Oldham and become part of a local team committed to making care better, one person, one visit and one relationship at a time.
