The population of older people across the UK is increasing year on year, with 61% of individuals with low care needs now accessing this service in their own home. In response to this, we have launched our Autumn & Winter recruitment drive at Bluebird Care Northumberland South.

Over the last few years there has been a real shift in people choosing care at home rather than residential care across the social care sector, with statistics from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) showing domiciliary care agency registrations leaping from 8,219 to 8,517 in just 16 months.

Wah Akram director of Bluebird Care Northumberland South, commented:

There has been a real shift in the care sector over the last few years, with people living longer and more individuals choosing to remain in their own home. It is important we are well equipped to continue delivering the high-quality care that is expected.

I believe in offering every member of my team the best training opportunities, supporting them in delivering excellence in care across the South of the County. By developing our care team, we can look at what further support we can offer our customers and support them in living the life they choose.
