Success again for Bluebird Care’s sponsored team!

Our sponsored junior football team, Brompton U10s, travelled to Redcar on Saturday 9th July for the Junior Champions League tournament

Our sponsored junior football team, Brompton U10s, travelled to Redcar on Saturday 9th July for the Junior Champions League tournament, a competition they won last season.

After a tough group draw, the boys battled the heat and some tricky opponents and were unbeaten in the group stages winning their group, scoring 7 goals and conceding only 1. This was particularly impressive as several of the players had completed a charity 10k the day before.

In the semi finals, Brompton ran out comfortable winners against Marton Juniors, netting twice without conceding.
Into the final against Hebburn Town, Brompton created the best chances but failed to capitalise and the final ended in a goalless draw for the second year running.

Penalties beckoned, Brompton were cool and composed, winning the shootout and lifting the trophy for the second year running!
