We are starting 2022 with the positive news that we have increased our hourly rate of pay to £12.00 per hour for our wonderful care team!

Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick are thrilled to announce the third pay rise in nine months for our care assistants!

Local home care provider Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick are thrilled to announce the third pay rise in nine months for our care assistants.  With effect from 11th January 2022, we have increased the hourly rate of pay for our wonderful care team to £12.00 per hour and £18.00 per hour on bank holidays.

In the past nine months the hourly rate at Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick has increased by 14.29% from £10.50 an hour to £12.00 per hour. We have also had yearly pay increases over the last five years.

Jackie Lothian, Registered Manager explained why she felt this pay increase is important: It has been an exceptionally hard 18 months within the domiciliary sector, and we are hugely grateful to our care team for their commitment, loyalty and pure resilience. Without their ongoing support and drive we would not have been able to provide care at home and keep our vulnerable customers safe. We want to thank them for being the heart of our company.”

“As well as the day-to-day challenges of Covid-19, we would all agree that we have faced a sharp increase in cost-of-living costs. We know through talking to our care team that this has been challenging and we our team feel we have listened and heard your concerns.

Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick provide the high- quality home care and live-in care across the Hambleton and Richmondshire districts of North Yorkshire. To do this, we are continually looking to expand our team of care assistants across Northallerton, Thirsk, Bedale, Easingwold, Stokesley, Catterick and Richmond.

Director Sean Price commented "We are incredibly proud of our team of care assistants, every day they provide crucial care to those who need additional support in the community. There is a huge demand for home care across the community. We hope this competitive rate of pay means we can satisfy the demand, and most importantly keep our customers safe and happy in their own homes. We are looking to recruit caring and compassionate individuals to join our team, to make a real difference each day."
