Raising awareness of Dementia Action Week 2021.

The 17th-23rd May is Dementia Action Week! Led by the Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Action Week is a national event that sees the public coming together to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.

One in three of us born in the UK today will go on to develop dementia in our lifetime.

There will be one million people living with dementia by 2025. By raising awareness about dementia, it is hoped more people will be diagnosed earlier, giving more time for them to come to terms with future symptoms

Right now, the broken social care system means that in the UK, nearly 1 million people with dementia and their families are struggling to get the support and care that they need and deserve. With the right support, people with dementia can live a good quality of life, doing what matters most to them for as long as possible.

You can support the reform of social care by visiting the Alzeimer’s Society website through this link: https://bit.ly/3yqpxrq
