Kate McLellan has taken on the Northumberland Trek in aid of our partner charity, Alzheimer's Society, by raising a brilliant £1,280 for the charity.
The trek covered miles of demanding Northumberland countryside, testing stamina and resolve in equal measure. Kate reached the finish line with her fundraising target smashed and, less happily, one toenail lost to the terrain. A small sacrifice for such a worthwhile cause.
At Bluebird Care North Tyneside, supporting people to live well and independently at home, including those living with dementia, is central to everything our carers do. Alzheimer's Society funds vital research, information and support for people affected by dementia and their families across the UK, which is why fundraising like this matters so much to us.
Congratulations to Kate on completing the trek and raising such a fantastic amount. If you would like to add to her total, her fundraising page remains open and every donation makes a difference.
