Bluebird Care North Tyneside is supporting Stroke Association’s annual stroke awareness month Make May Purple.

The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity. They work directly with stroke survivors, their families and carers; with health and social care professionals; and with scientists and researchers.

This year the campaign has been named Make May Purple and is encouraging everyone to take part by baking, wearing or planting purple to show their support and raise vital funds for Stroke Association to continue funding research into developing new treatments and ways of preventing stroke.

Julie McLellan, director of Bluebird Care North Tyneside, said:

We are delighted to promote the Stroke Association’s Make May Purple campaign this May. Stroke can strike in an instant but it’s effect can last a lifetime, that’s why it is so important to support the Stroke Association and the important support and research they provide.
