This week some of our team attended 'The Dementia Diary, Mum & Me' event held at the stunning The Alnwick Garden, organised by The Alnwick Garden Elderberries.
We met with BBC broadcaster Andrew Edwards who shared the story of his Mum and her dementia journey.
In 2021, Andrew was given a Dementia Hero award by the Alzheimer's Society for his weekly audio diary, The Dementia Diary - Mum & Me, in recognition of what he'd done to increase awareness of dementia.
The afternoon was inspiring, emotional and profound.
