World Blood Donor Day is celebrated globally on June 14th every year. The event is sponsored by four main organisations one being The World Health Organisation (WHO) whose website is full of how you can personally help on this important day.

The theme this year as noted on the WHO website is "Thank you for saving my life". It is focusing on thanking the people who diligently and voluntary give blood on a regular basis.

Bluebird Care Bradford North encourages you to visit the WHO website for all campaign material: http://www.who.int/campaigns/world-blood-donor-day/2015/en/

Bluebird Care will be doing our bit by trying to encourage our staff and people that we meet to give blood even if it’s their first time to please support the event. Every drop of blood that you give is very important and could be used somewhere in the world to save lives.

So visit the WHO website and please support this important event.
