Bluebird Care Newport wins TWICE in the 2021 South Wales Argus Health & Care Awards
In a glittering online ceremony hosted by broadcaster Dr Dawn Harper, Bluebird Care Newport won both categories in which we were nominated.
Dementia Carer of the Year was awarded to Simon Griffiths
Domiciliary Care Worker of the Year was awarded to Jenna Shier
Both carers had been nominated by their peers and by the customers they care for.
Some of the UK’s best-known doctors congratulated the finalists and winners of the South Wales Argus Health & Care Awards, as Dr Dawn Harper was joined by her Embarrassing Bodies co-star Dr Pixie McKenna, together with Good Morning Britain’s Dr Hilary Jones MBE for the health and care awards ceremony.
Other household names putting in an appearance included Radio 1’s resident doctor Dr Radha Modgil, Holby City’s Joe McFadden, Clive Mantle and Dawn Steele, and Alan Fletcher, who plays Neighbours GP Karl Kennedy.
The awards were supported by big names in the health service, including Dr Frank Atherton, the Chief Medical Officer in Wales
