This October 10th, Bluebird Care Newmarket, Fenland, King’s Lynn & West Norfolk is supporting World Mental Health Day, an initiative aiming to raise awareness of and promote education about mental health issues. The day also encourages people to talk about their feelings and to look after their own wellbeing.

This year’s theme focuses on ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’.

For many of us the last 18 months has caused us to think more about our health and wellbeing, and put it higher up on our agenda now. We benefit from excellent public services in the UK, like the NHS, but not all of us have the same experience of accessing health services and this impacts on our long-term health.

For the second year running, the Mental Health Foundation is inviting everyone to join a national campaign to raise awareness of mental health and to support those in need.

Carolyn Dailey, Director of Bluebird Care Newmarket, Fenland, King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, commented,

“It is important to take care of our mental health wellbeing, especially during difficult times. We can improve our wellbeing by talking to people about the way we are feeling, keeping in contact with friends and family, maintaining a healthy diet and keeping active.

Raising awareness of mental health and the availability of mental health care is vital and Bluebird Care is one hundred percent behind the campaign.”
