Chloe celebrates 11 years working with us as a care assistant.

My name is Chloe and I’m 30 years old. I started at bluebird care when I was 19. I was managing a petrol station in Newbury before I made the change. I kept getting compliments from Bluebird staff when they would come in to buy fuel, they used to say how much I would make a great carer and how happy and cheerful I was.

After a big think I decided it was something I really wanted to do, so I left my job in retail to start a career at Bluebird Care. Right from the start I enjoyed my job. I also did have some experience while working with Bluebird, Care to help out at a care home, which I enjoyed too but I much prefer homecare. The reason I prefer homecare is I feel that we really are making a difference for our customers to stay and live a healthy and happy life in their own homes. This can be very hard sometimes especially when they live alone or are suffering with a variety of problems with their health & mobility.

There are a lot of highlights in my job and now 11 years on I still enjoy it!! but everyday is different there are good and sad moments. A highlight of my time working here is that I have completed my nvq 2 & 3 and other qualifications whilst being a mum of three now four which I’m super proud of. My job works around my children and I’m thankful I have a job that does.

The advice I would give to anyone who wants to apply for a job with Bluebird Care, is if you have a caring nature and you are willing to see a difference you make to peoples life’s no matter how small then this is the job for you. You are always well looked after and always have a lot of support to help you along your caring journey. You also become a part of the Bluebird Care family right from the very beginning.

Huge Congratulations to you Chloe from all your Bluebird Care family
