Bluebird Care is celebrating a career in home care with their Make A Difference campaign

Published: 16/07/2018

Bluebird Care Newark and Sherwood is celebrating their fantastic team of care assistants, and the difference they make across the Newark and Sherwood community every day, as part of a national campaign, which launched on Tuesday 8th May.

The #MakeADifference campaign, headed up by Bluebird Care’s franchise support centre, aims to highlight and raise awareness of care at home as a profession, which enables vulnerable people to receive the care and support they require in the comfort of their own homes. The purpose of the campaign is so we can showcase why the Bluebird Care Newark and Sherwood team of care assistants are #ProudtoCareAtHome.

With the rapidly increasing ageing population and rising numbers of people living with complex conditions - that require specialist care – such as dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, and more people choosing to opt for care at home, our campaign aims to highlight how patient, kind and compassionate individuals can make a real difference working in care at home.

Care Manager of Bluebird Care Newark and Sherwood, Michelle Wells commented:

“This is a fantastic campaign which aims to highlight the vital work that home care assistants across the country are providing day in, day out.

“Via the #MakeADifference campaign, we want all individuals to learn more about how rewarding a career in home care can be, the huge difference you can make to the people that you support, and why so many of our Bluebird Care care assistants are #ProudToCareAtHome.

“We would like to thank all our wonderful care assistants at Bluebird Care Newark and Sherwood and to encourage anyone who thinks they have the right qualities, to get in touch and consider a career with us.”
