Support and training
Initially you will receive a pre-assessment training, whilst your DBS is being done. Then upon receipt of your 3 references and a cleared DBS, you will start the job . As a care assistant we will make sure you will start "shadowing" with a experienced Care assistant for minimum of 2 days. Some people immediately show that they are confident to go out on their own, whilst others will need more nurturing. Once up and running you will go through a 3 months' probation period whilst you will qualify for the Social Care Certificate .

What it takes to join Bluebird Care
To work with Bluebird Care it is essential that you have a genuine care for others, good communication skills and the ability to understand what each of the roles entails. Care experience is useful but not always necessary as we provide full training. You will need to be a driver and have use of your own car, unless you will apply as a live in care assistant. Care does start at 7am and finishes at 10 pm , seven days a week . This will mean that either you give us morning availibility or evening availibility and we do expect you to work alternate weekends.
