Catherine Slater
Catherine is one of the directors of the organisation and plays an important role in supporting the overall direction and values of our domiciliary care services. She works closely with Kelly, our Registered Manager, to keep the day-to-day running of the office organised, responsive, and running smoothly (usually with several things happening at once!). Alongside this, Catherine oversees invoicing and payroll and leads on recruitment, with a real focus on finding people who are not only skilled, but genuinely caring and a good fit for the team. Before moving into care, Catherine taught secondary school history, so she’s well used to busy days, fast thinking, and keeping a lot of plates spinning at once. She also holds a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification in Adult Care. Outside of work, she’s usually on the move—running after her 3 children, in the gym, or supporting Kelly in planning Bluebird Care’s ambitious annual fundraisers which for some reason, usually involve scaling a mountain!

David Howard - Director
David is part of the leadership team and helps steer the organisation’s overall vision and direction, offering calm support, steady thinking, and the occasional well-timed joke when it’s needed most. He’s a familiar face around the office, often accompanied by his two Labradors, who take their unofficial role as morale boosters very seriously (especially when snacks are involved). David is also a very proud Liverpool Football Club supporter, which means there’s usually a bit of football discussion in the mix—particularly on match days, whether things go his way or not. While he keeps a lower profile on the day-to-day operations, David’s presence, humour, and supportive approach play an important part in the culture of the team.

Elizabeth Otukoya - Field Care Supervisor
Elizabeth is a Field Care Supervisor at Bluebird Care, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. She is known for her keen eye for detail and her commitment to maintaining exceptional quality across all aspects of care provision.
