Competition Time!

Published: 01/03/2016

"A day in the life of a Care Worker" story competition is now open to our staff!

Care Workers always have a story to tell, and we would love to hear yours! We are putting together some literature for prospective Care Workers and as part of this we would like to include a feature titled ‘A Day in the Life of a Care Worker’ by one of our own Bluebirds.

The aim is to encourage applicants who are considering joining our team but have never experienced working in care before. Reading an interesting and informative piece, told first hand by those who know best, will give a greater insight to life as a Care Assistant.

We are looking for between a half and a full A4 page in length depicting, in a positive light, a typical day as a Care Worker. This could take the form of a diary entry if you wish. The content needs to be as inspiring as possible in order to have the desired effect, but at the same time an honest and realistic account. You could mention a humorous incident, or something said or done that you found touching or moved you in some way.

The job of a Care Worker is an extremely valuable one, and it would be great if the reward you feel from carrying out care can come across in your story.

All entries need to be received by Monday 4th April. Good luck!
