Thank You for 2017!

Lets celebrate what a wonderful year we have had!

2017 has been an exciting and busy year for Bluebird Care mid and West Cornwall!

Following our restructure in 2016 we have introduced several new members to our teams- Bex jenkins, Sharon couzins, Jacob Russell and Kay House have all joined us as Area Managers as well as Katie Toy taking on an Area manager role as well. Nicola Gibbs became our Care Manager allowing Caroline Sommerville to move into the role of Operations Manager and we welcomed Colette Dodd to our Payroll and Finance team. We also supported Sam Clegg, Marisa Cova, Zoe Martin, Gloria Merrifield, Vilia Harris, Jodie Tregidga and Amber Johns into Team Leader roles. Last but most certainly not least we welcomed many new members into the Bluebird Care Support and Care teams and we hope that like many of our dedicated team members, you will stay with us for the years to come.

We have all acheived so many things during this past year from little break throughs with our customers (too many to name and so personal to each and every one of you) to 'larger scale' achievements including welcoming new customers to our 24 hour teams and outreach teams as well as reintroducing the Falmouth round. We thank each and every one of you who helped in some way to welcome and support our new customers.

We have introduced the PASS system which was a very big change for us and required a lot of work and patience and is slowly but surely making our care lives a bit easier! We also introduced Perkbox as a reward system.

We named our Charity of the Year as 'Children's Hospice South West' and we have continued to support this worthy cause by raising £400 in the summer including a charity bike ride across the Camel Trail, 'dress down fridays', cake sales and other initiatives.

In October we celebrated our 2nd Annual Bluebird Care Awards night where we premiered our 'outstanding' film from CAHSC, it was a wonderful evening and was so lovely to see all the nominees come together as a team. Our Facebook page has also never been so active with everyone sharing their wonderful pictures of their amazing moments with our customers- our photo wall has grown rapidly!

So what does 2018 hold for Bluebird Care Mid and West Cornwall? We are continuing to recruit in to our teams to allow for expansion opportunities, we are spreading the Bluebird Care word and making sure our outstanding standards are kept as high as they have always been. We are making a difference in people lives- young and old, of all abilities and all our hard work shows. So thank you to each and every one of the Bluebird Care team for all your much appreciated hard work and dedication. Lets keep it up and welcome 2018 with open arms!
Happy New Year Everyone!
