A Christmas message from Caroline

A few festive words from our Care Manager...

Merry Christmas everyone!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the continued hard work and dedication you have shown Bluebird Care and our customers over the past twelve months.
I’m sure you all agree that we have had a fantastic year and we hope that 2017 will be even better.

Achieving a rating of ‘Outstanding’ by CQC has to be the highlight but there have been many special moments during 2016.
Cake has featured heavily this year! We supported the Great Cornish Bake Off for Cornwall Hospice Care in May where we raised an incredible £270.13 and the World’s Largest Coffee Morning for Macmillan in September raising £212.58.
We had our inaugural staff awards in October which was a brilliant night at the County Arms in Truro. All nominees and winners were truly deserved and we are already looking forward to next years event.

We have recently restructured and hope that with the new Area Manager roles we will improve communication and continuity across the organisation.

As ever, we experienced some difficult times over the summer months but with the support of all team members we were able to provide care to all of our customers.

Without the hard work of the Support Coordinators, Area Managers, Admin and Finance teams we certainly would not be able to provide the services that we do, so, ‘thank you’ all very much!

Despite working, I hope that you all get to enjoy some special times over the festive period. When choosing care as a career we know that we have to make adjustments to our Christmas traditions and plans but hopefully your visits will be enjoyable and we will be able to bring some festive cheer to all of our customers.

Very best wishes
Caroline
