About us

We believe that care matters and we are committed to providing the highest quality Home and Live in Care so that our customers can remain in their own homes.

HOME CARE SERVICE AREA:

We provide domestic and personal care services for older people and adults with disabilities throughout the mid and west Cornwall areas. This is from the Lizard to Fowey, and from Lands End to Newquay, including Penzance, Helston and St Ives, Falmouth, Truro and Roseland Peninsular, St Agnes and St Austell, and all areas in between.

We work with private customers, those on Individual Personal Budgets, as well as customers from Early Intervention and who are Continuing Health Care funded. We have met the requirements for Care at Home Services with Cornwall Council.

WHAT WE DO:

We believe in ‘Good old fashioned service’, tailored to our customer’s individual needs, and flexible enough to suit changing circumstances. We provide domestic and personal care without fuss, and offer:

  • Shopping, cleaning, meals and social visits

  • Personal care to help with getting up, washing, dressing, and going to bed

  • Prompting to assist with medication

  • Trained and police checked staff, who are supported and supervised

  • Cost effective alternatives to residential care, in your own home, with friends around you

  • Transparent charges, and visits from just 30 minutes up to live-in or full 24 hour care

  • The quality of care we want for our own families and loved ones

  • We ask you how you think we’re doing and where we can improve our services

  • Good wages and support for our staff, investing in their training, enabling us to recruit and retain the best staff, so we can provide quality care and consistency for our customers

These are just some of the things we offer. Nothing is too much trouble and we have a ‘can do’ approach to solving our customer needs.

Bluebird Care Mid and West Cornwall is part of the successful Bluebird Care network with 180 offices nationally, but is owned and operated locally in Cornwall by Carol & Graham Carruthers. All our activities have been assessed and are registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Hello George,

Just a quick note to say I think the week has gone really well with Lavender and Rachael.  They have transformed the quality of my week, and Mum seems more settled. Thankyou for all the effort you Fiona, Lavender and Rachael have put into this. I am finishing this week with far more energy and hope.

Also I would like to Thank you particularly for listening to each of the 3 of us, providing wise guidance, and helping us on our individual journeys.

Julia- St Austell
