Bluebird Care Medway is supporting Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Awareness Month this June, an annual campaign run by the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning. With up to 5,000 adults in the UK living with MND and six people per day in the UK diagnosed with the condition, the work the MND Association undertakes is vital.

The MND Awareness Month 2016 theme is ‘Silence Speaks’, and highlights one of the most devastating things people with MND face, losing their voice.

Charmaine Grech, director of Bluebird Care Medway, said:

We are proud to be promoting MND Awareness Month this June and bringing much needed attention to the work carried out by the MND Association. We hope that by promoting this campaign we will help people in our local area who are living with the condition.”
