Bluebird Care (Medway) Staff meeting on 11th December 2017
We had an interesting and interactive staff meeting on Monday11th December 2017 at St Margaret's Millennium Centre.. Staff were able to try out an age simulation suit which was provided by Jo E from The Dementia Action Alliance and KCC. Also long term staff were presented with their 5 year service badges so well done to Sharon K, Sian L and Hannah W who were in attendance. Other staff to be presented with their 5 year service badges include- Barbara M, Sylvia A, Lorraine C, Hayley M and Nadia H. A festive buffet was laid on for staff back at the office and Charmaine provided gifts of chocolates, biscuits or a bottle of Fizz for staff attending. A local lady donated a hamper and cupcakes from her business Nicelyiced and a jolly time was had by all. Staff seemed pleased to hear of the cash benefits on offer and the wage enhancement for travel time. Also 3 lucky staff won gift vouchers so well done to Carla W, Marta V and Gaya P.
Pictured here are Charmaine, Jo E, Rita W, Gaya P, Corrinne & Rita W all looking happy even though they had aged approx 30 years in the age simulation suit. A huge thanks to Jo E for attending and letting us experience this which will enhance our empathy with elderly and frail customers.
