Further to our conversation last week, and also on behalf of my brothers Graeme and Robert, I would like to thank Rachel for the time she spent with our Mum, EB. 

We all live some distance from Platters Farm Care Home so Rachel taking Mum out from the home twice a week for companionship really helped supplement our visits.

Mum appreciated the company of a younger person, while getting a break from the home, and it enabled Mum to slowly start rebuilding her confidence and have someone to chat to.  Mum was self-loathing when Rachel first met her and it must have been very difficult for Rachel to keep the conversation going at the start.  However, over time, Mum improved and we are very grateful to Rachel for her care and patience in helping this happen.  Mum was in a much better place mentally just before she succumbed to the Covid virus, and we are very grateful to Rachel for her part in this.

MM has phoned this morning for a finance matter and also wanted to mention that she is so happy with Bluebird, she is completely satisfied with the main carer that she has, who is Reinalyn M-C.

She say that she can now go out and leave A with Reinalyn to do her own thing and she is so grateful.

The bluebird care team often come into my workplace with their clients (I’m a waitress) and I am always touched by how much genuine care and warmth they show. They seem to have a real relationship with their clients, lovely team x
