Meet the team
We are all a friendly bunch, come in and say hello next time you are in the area!
Directors Shaney Lakhanpaul and Angela Lakhanpaul
Shaney Lakhanpaul and Angela Lakhanpaul are the Directors of the service and more poignantly, they are sisters who grew up caring for their mother who lives with epilepsy.
Watching their mum change from a dynamic, positive force who helped support numerous people in their times of need, to being deeply consumed by epilepsy after her first seizure at the age of 45, made them determined to care for their mother in the way she had taught them. We are now proud to say, our mother has been fit free for three years. She herself has now been able to return to her passion of supporting others and so is an active volunteer at the Leicester General Hospital.
Relentless pursuit of excellence in care
Having managed our mum's care for over twenty years, our purpose at Bluebird Care Market Harborough & Oadby is to provide Outstanding care to all individuals that we support, by ensuring their care is at the heart of the service. This means valuing each person’s unique qualities and seeing them as an individual, and not as a list of care needs. Coming from a family who ‘cares’, we only employ staff who care about care and nurture them to continually provide excellent care. We aim to provide you with the same standard of care that we would expect for our own families.
I am proud to work for Bluebird Care Market Harborough & Oadby as their Care Co-ordinator, what a fantastic and great opportunity I have been given. My passion for excellent care stems from having supported a family member with their own health challenges and another family member already working in the care industry.
The management team, Angela and Shaney are so supportive and helpful and are always there to listen to the needs of our care team and customers. Everyone here is wonderful and go above and beyond to meet our customer’s needs. I feel privileged to work for a company that is always striving to improve care within the community.
