Great British Care Awards

Five team members from Bluebird Care, have been shortlisted for multiple awards at The Great British Care Awards.  

The Great British Care Awards take place throughout the UK to celebrate excellence across the care sector. Paying homage to individuals who have gone above and beyond within their field, they are highly sort after within the industry.   

This year, Maureen Reader, Care Assistant at Bluebird Care Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells, was shortlisted for the Homecare Worker Award, while Kay Francis, a member of the team at Bluebird Care Maidstone, was named as a finalist for the Dementia Carer Award. Mel Marriott, Registered Manager for both franchises, was named as a finalist for the Community Care Registered Manager Award. 

Elsewhere, in the South East of Kent, Care Coordinator at Bluebird Care Gravesham & Dartford, Stacie Pierce, was among those shortlisted for the Homecare Coordinator category, having been recognised for her vision in motivating and supporting her team, whilst ensuring that customers remain at the heart of the everything she does.   

Indicative of the incredible work done across the county, Bobby Pawar, Director of five Bluebird Care franchises across Kent, was also among those named as a finalist. Recognised for the Care Employer Award, this not only celebrates an employer’s commitment to great quality care, but also their desire to constantly improve and grow the services their customers receive.   

During what has been a challenging period for the care sector, Bluebird Care franchises across Kent have continued to thrive, going from strength to strength and enhancing the vital home care services they provide to customers across the county.  Judges were particularly impressed with the incredible dedication, commitment, and invention shown by individuals across Kent, from those leading their franchises and driving excellence, to the incredible care teams delivering outstanding care and support every single day.  

The five finalists will learn whether they have been victorious at the Southeast regional awards in Brighton on the 18th November this year. If triumphant, they will be shortlisted in the national Great British Care Awards against other regional award winners from across the country.
