Hi Fai, thank you for sitting for sitting down with me! Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary.

You’ve had quite the career with us now.

Please describe your role…

Currently I am a Care Supervisor. I take enquiries and go and do assessments for new customers.

I also put together care plans and supervise the Care Assistants, to make sure that they’re okay and also do regular care reviews.

As we know, you have been with Bluebird Care for 10 years! Did you have a role before the one you are doing now within Bluebird Care? (Progression) What did you do before your time at Bluebird Care?

I began my career with Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2011. I was a Care Assistant with Bluebird for 8 years and before that I worked for another company in care for 3 years.

I must say, I have a lot of experience in care and have even done live-in care which I loved.

I was with one customer for three years, it didn’t feel I was working, I felt like I was with family.

What’s the best part of your job?

The best part of my job now is doing the assessments. This is because I get to meet different people and I get to tell them what we do and how we can help you know?

It’s great to be able to spread the word about Bluebird Care as it’s the best care company in Maidstone in my opinion!

What is your favourite memory from your time at Bluebird Care?

My best, BEST, memory was my time doing Live -in care. Namely the experience I mentioned before. I have so many amazing memories here at Bluebird Care but that it the standout.

I’ve also gained a lot of experience here such as like now I can take an enquiry with confidence and go and the assessments put care in place supervise the Care Assistants Confident in care at all stages.

What’s the best bit of feedback you’ve had from a customer at Bluebird Care?

*Care Manager Mel interjects ‘Fai is loved by everyone!’*

One of my customers said to me ‘Saturday is my favourite day because Fai is coming to see me’

That made me feel really good – it’s always nice to hear that you’re appreciated and making a difference!

What would you say to someone who was thinking about a career in care?

I would say, come and try – join us! It’s one of the most rewarding jobs in the world and I am so proud of my career- very proud.

What’s your favourite food?

Sunday roast- EASY– I don’t mind what roast, beef, chicken, lamb… but it must have all the trimmings

Do you have any Hobbies?

Shopping is on the top! Watching movies - I love true stories!
