Each year we recognise a member of staff who has stood out in their role and present them with our Care Assistant of the year award.

This year we are absolutely delighted to recognise Kay, who lives in West Malling and has been nominated by her customers to receive the award.

Kay is an outstanding member of the team and extremely dedicated to her role. She was invited to a special afternoon tea ceremony where she was completely surprised to have been joined by colleagues, one of her customers and even Cllr David Naghi, Mayor of Maidstone.

The office team put together a special presentation with messages from her customers who were not able to attend the event, but wanted to say thank you and well done.

As well as a certificate, box of chocolates and gorgeous bouquet of flowers, Kay was presented with an exclusive ticket to a whiskey experience to enjoy with a friend.

Kay explained:
It is so lovely to receive this award and I am really proud to have been recognised in this way. I really can't believe it; it's actually amazing!

I am extremely passionate about what I do and am completely shocked that I have been nominated, let alone having won that I cannot get over it!

I would like to thank everyone who nominated me and for the whole team for putting on such a lovely event!
