Meet Tanya Who Celebrates Seven Years This Month!

We are celebrating Tanya's seven-year anniversary as part of our nationwide #MakeaDifference campaign, which aims to highlight the vital role of care workers in communities across the UK. We recently spent some time with Tanya and are pleased to share her truly inspiring story here!
We are celebrating Tanya's seven-year anniversary as part of our nationwide #MakeaDifference campaign, which aims to highlight the vital role of care workers in communities across the UK.Tanya worked as a mortgage advisor in Reading until 2009 when she moved to Maidstone. She joined the team shortly after we opened in 2011 and is now our second longest-serving Care Assistant!
Tanya was inspired to pursue a career in care following the tragic death of her two-year old daughter from cancer.
Speaking about her role, Tanya said:
I love being part of the team here at Bluebird Care and can't believe that seven years has gone by so quickly! Initially I found my role quite nerve wracking as it was a completely new direction for me, but since then I have grown to love my job.
Following my daughter's death from cancer I wanted to be a radiographer, but I opted to become a carer because it offers so many rewarding opportunities to make a difference to people's lives at a personal level.
It is a pleasure to work with such an excellent team and it is very satisfying to know that what I do every day makes a big difference to the people I care for.
