Celebrating Our Snow Heroes

Last week's heavy snow brought parts of Kent to a standstill, but that didn't stop our heroic Care Assistants braving the worst of the weather to make care visits to elderly and vulnerable people across the district.   Many Care Assistants walked for miles to ensure that their customers received care despite impassable roads and treacherous conditions and we are delighted to share a few examples of how our team went above and beyond!

Clare, Operations Manager, said:
Last week saw some unprecedented conditions but our staff pulled out all the stops to support our customers.

Through the dedication of our care teams, customers continued to receive the care and support they need despite the worst of the winter weather.

Many of our customers are elderly and vulnerable.

It is through times like this that they need support the most and our teams have pulled together with determination to ensure that this continues no matter what happens.
In particular, we would like to thank Zulal and Paula who not only got to all of her customers, but out of concern for her colleagues who were stuck, picked up a lot of additional visits to make sure customers continued receiving their care support. We would also like to thank Janice, Alexandra and Claire who walked to a significant number of their customers!

Clare continued:
Last week was a real demonstration of our team's passion and determination and I would personally like to thank our office and care teams for their professional and upbeat approach throughout the week.
