We wanted to do something with our customers to celebrate Christmas and recently invited them to a Christmas themed afternoon tea in Maidstone.

The tea was hosted at our offices on 12th December and we set the room up with Christmas themed decor and gifts for each customer who joined.

We were joined by over 15 customers and staff, who all enjoyed a great time of company, food and chatter.

For those who getting out is a little tricky, the office and care team gave lifts so that they could attend and enjoy the stollen, mince pies and yule log!

We were also privileged to be joined by Jutta who leads Restoring Hands in Maidstone and one of the project's volunteers as they gave some lovely gifts of hampers to each customer.

Jutta commented:
Restoring Hands is a Maidstone based charity helping to empower people in the local community and we wanted to do something to bless our older people during the Christmas period.

We are delighted to have been able to give some Christmas hampers to each customer who attended and would like to thank Bluebird Care for inviting us to join such a lovely afternoon!

Care Manager, Mel, commented:
The event was really well attended and gave our customers the opportunity to do something a little different.

For some, it is difficult for them to get out and about and do things like this and it was lovely to be able to help them join too.

It was also very positive to meet some whom I had spoken to on the phone, but not managed to meet yet.

We are now certainly getting into the Christmas spirit and looking forward to the New Year.
