Tracey, Care Assistant, said:
Providing our customers with outings is very important to Bluebird Care. Many of our customers spend much of the week in their homes so they really value and enjoy the opportunity to get out and socialise.

Social isolation and loneliness is a major issue among elderly people, with 4.5 million senior citizens saying they often feel lonely.

As a premium care provider we recognise the value that outings like this can have in breaking up our customers' daily routines and helping them to stay connected to the outside world.

As a busy carer, its also lovely for me to get to take customers out and treat them to a nice lunch!

Phyllis (93) and her husband Bernard (92) are two customers who joined. Phyllis said:
Without the support from Bluebird Care we just wouldn't get the opportunity to go out together. Bernard and I haven't done something like this since February, so we were thrilled to be invited along.
So far this year, we have hosted lunches for nine customers as part of our commitment to provide premium home care services and make a difference to customers' lives.
