On Monday 31st of October we welcomed new care assistant Helen Cliffe to the team.

All new Care Assistants to the team spend time with the Care Manager Jayne Wakefield and appraisal of their training needs is undertaken. Those without a previous formal qualification in health and social care start on a programme of learning called The Care Certificate.

The Care Certificate is a set of standards that social care and health workers stick to in their daily working life. It is the new minimum standard that will be covered as part of induction to the company. This training combines classroom, electronic learning, workbook and observation in practice. It takes at least three months to complete and is certificated upon completion.

After induction, Care Assistants continue to be supported and their practice is observed by the field Supervisor team. This ensures that the quality of the care being delivered remains at the high standard that our customers expect and deserve.
