Welcome to our newest recruits David Shaw, Maya Bewsher and Andrea Smith.

Welcome to our newest recruits David Shaw, Maya Bewsher and Andrea Smith.

David Shaw from Crewe will be working evenings and weekends as a homecare assistant, Maya Bewsher from Macclesfield will be working full time, also as a homecare care assistant and Andrea Smith will be working as a live-in care assistant.

All of our new team members undergo an extensive induction process. The induction process includes Theory and Practical Moving and Handling, Medication Training and Policies and Procedures. Alongside this training they do online training and supported training with the Care Manager towards their New Care Certificate.

After finishing their initial induction, new care assistants are then put on a ‘Shadow Shift’, where they go out to meet the customers with senior members of the team to gain an understanding of the practical side of the work required, they will then be assessed by a supervisor; this is to make sure they understand what is required, and this also allows them to receive any further support they feel they may need. On-going support is available at all times for our staff.

Well done all.
