Director, Joanna Lee said,

We were delighted to hold a Silver Sunday event in celebration of the rich contribution older people make to the community with their life-long experiences. Since we care for many people over 65 at home, we also understand that loneliness can be an issue, with our care workers often being the only daily contact they have. This was a wonderful opportunity to bring people together socially.”

The Bill Bailey Band (pictured) provided a range of nostalgic jazz tunes whilst sisters Joyce and Midge dominated the dance floor as well as scooping a raffle prize! Joyce later sang with the band showing off a lovely, classically-trained voice, whilst Midge reminisced to her days as a singer for the armed forces in the 1940s. Also pictured with Joanna is Hugh Emerson, Secretary of the South Cheshire Pensioners Association.
