Claire Evans - Owner/Director

Welcome to our beautiful company of care professionals which I founded in the Lancaster area in 2014. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, tailored home care services. My role is to provide leadership in our mission; invest in staff development; and ensure reliable, innovative care through rigourous application of quality systems. I strive at all times to make a meaningful impact in my local community. I love it! When I’m not working, I enjoy as much fresh air as I can get - walking, running, horseriding, gardening. Now that our 4 children are grown, I am rediscovering some freedom! Professionally, I studied politics at Edinburgh University and served the first half of my career in areas of public policy and administration.

Alyson Hartlebury - Care and Operations Manager

I work closely with Claire in overseeing the entirety of our service. Qualified to Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership, I am responsible to the national regulator, Care Quality Commission, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our service. After working in other sectors, I too discovered my vocation is in caring for the most vulnerable in my community. My focus is always keeping the person receiving care at the centre of everything we do. My strength is in working with others holistically, including other community professionals, to ensure the full range of a person's needs are met. My job is very demanding, but outside of work I love spending time with my young family.

Lynn Bee - Care Manager: visiting care

Lynn is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our service and often the first member of our team that you’ll meet. She takes time to understand a person's specific needs, preferences, and circumstances, carefully matching them with the most suitable carers, and monitors the field team carefully to make sure they carry out their work in a truly person-centred way. With a career in care spanning many years, Lynn began as a carer before progressing into management. Having grown up in St Anne's and lived in the South Fylde area all her life, she has a strong connection to the local community and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care. "Communication is key" says Lynn. "By building strong relationships with both our customers and our team, we create trust, understanding, and consistently excellent care." Outside of work, Lynn enjoys spending time with her three grown-up children, four grandchildren, and her two much-loved dogs.

Rachel Turner- Live-in Care Manager

Rachel has been part of the Bluebird Care team since 2018, beginning her journey as a carer before progressing rapidly into management roles. Her hands-on experience and compassionate approach helps ensure our live-in care customers receive high-quality, person-centred support tailored to their individual needs. Rachel works closely with both customers and carers to create positive and supportive live-in care experiences. She also has an excellent standing with other health and care professionals in the community and uses these links to make sure her customers get the full wrap-around support they need, especially if needs change

Senior Care Team

Our senior care team is made up of experienced, compassionate professionals who are dedicated to supporting people to live safely, comfortably and independently at home. Every member of our team is carefully selected, fully trained and genuinely passionate about delivering care with dignity, respect and kindness. Helen Prady - Dementia Lead

"Caring effectively for people with dementia requires special skills and patience. And each person with dementia has their own unique set of challenges," says Helen. I work closely with all our dementia customers and their families to ensure they receive an effective and bespoke service tailored precisely to their requirements. My role is peripatetic and involves troubleshooting problems, identifying solutions, training and mentoring our carers, and advocating for our dementia customers and their families in the community. I augment my role as Dementia Lead with regular care shifts, so that I'm always keeping in touch with what's happening.

Steph Anderson - Recruitment and Training Manager

I am responsible for recruiting and training all of our care team.  I have worked in the care sector for over 6 years. I have worked every position from a Care Assistant to a Service Manager. Having all of the experience in the field means that I know exactly what we’re looking for in terms of personal qualities for new team members. Each new member of the team takes part in our two-week induction programme before then having another 10 weeks of closely supervised support throughout their probationary period. I share my life in Morecambe with partner Simon and Ronnie the dog, so I'm always out and about walking... or sprinting with him! In my spare time I work as a volunteer at The Lancaster Grand Theatre as I have a passion for the arts and love any live entertainment.
