Debbie celebrates 12 months with Bluebird Care Liverpool

Saturday 18th July 2015 was a landmark day for Bluebird Care Liverpool as it was twelve months to the day that we first delivered care in the city.

Debbie Wignall, our very first care worker, had good reason to reflect on the anniversary date as she had delivered our very first care visit the year before:

 
My first year at Bluebird Care Liverpool certainly went by quickly. After being in the same job for thirteen years, I felt the need to embark on a more rewarding and satisfying career change. This led to actively seeking employment as a care worker and starting an access course in social work.
 
After researching many care companies I came across Bluebird Care Liverpool. It stood out to me as their principles resonated with my own - compassion, professionalism and a true desire to provide the highest level of care.
 
I’m studying a combined honours in Childhood & Youth and Psychology at Hope Liverpool University, with a view to eventually pursuing a Masters in Social Work or similar. I feel grateful that I’m able to pursue my studies and still continue to work for Bluebird Care, having the advantage of working part-time during term time and increasing my availability during the summer.

Every day I feel privileged to be in a position to enrich someone's day and develop trust with each customer. Working for a company which advocates this, and supports both the customers and care workers, is a real pleasure.”
