According to Samaritans every 10 seconds they respond to a call for help from someone struggling to cope. Their volunteers provide a safe, confidential space for anyone experiencing emotional distress, loneliness or feelings of despair, offering support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Every day, our care professionals witness the importance of human connection and reliable relationships. Many of the people we support live alone or experience periods of isolation, making compassionate conversation and meaningful companionship an essential part of the care we provide. We understand that sometimes the act of being routinely present can make a significant difference to someone's wellbeing.

That is why Bluebird Care Liverpool is proud to support the Samaritans through fundraising events, sponsored challenges and community initiatives. By working together, we hope to raise awareness of the invaluable support they provide while helping ensure that no one in our community has to face difficult times alone.

Throughout the year, our team will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities, including charity events, office initiatives and sponsored challenges. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps the Samaritans continue providing their lifesaving service to those who need it most.

We believe that caring is more than the support we provide during each visit: it is about building stronger communities, promoting kindness amongst neighbours and ensuring that everyone knows help is always available.

Creating Happy Memories Together

At Bluebird Care Liverpool we know that great care is about so much more than helping with everyday tasks. It's about sharing a laugh, enjoying meaningful conversations and creating moments that bring joy. That's why we're incredibly proud to support Happy Memories Afternoon Entertainment, a local organisation that shares our passion for helping older people stay connected and an active member of their community.

Founded by Peter Bowyer and Ted "Jive Teddy" Williams, Happy Memories was created with one simple goal: to ensure that no older person feels alone. Through afternoons filled with live music, dancing, entertainment and friendship, they bring people together in a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Many of the people we support tell us that it's the little moments that matter most. Seeing familiar faces, singing along to favourite songs, enjoying a cup of tea with friends or simply having someone to chat with can make a remarkable difference to confidence and wellbeing. Happy Memories creates those moments every single week, giving older people the opportunity to socialise, reminisce and make new friendships in their local community.
