World Alzheimer’s Month: Every Story Matters

This World Alzheimer’s Month, our Lewisham & Southwark office is taking a moment to recognise the people, families, carers and communities affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Every person living with dementia has a story.

This World Alzheimer’s Month, our Lewisham & Southwark office is taking a moment to recognise the people, families, carers and communities affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Every person living with dementia has a story.

A lifetime of experiences, relationships, achievements, favourite places and precious moments that make them who they are. While Alzheimer’s can affect memory and everyday life, it doesn’t change the value of a person or the importance of the connections they share with others.

Across Lewisham and Southwark, families and communities support loved ones in many different ways. Sometimes it’s helping with everyday tasks. Sometimes it’s sharing a cup of tea, looking through photographs, listening to a favourite song or simply being there.

These moments of connection can make a real difference.

This month, we’re encouraging everyone to learn more about Alzheimer’s and dementia, to talk openly about the condition and, most importantly, to see the person behind the diagnosis.

Because dementia may change the way someone remembers, but it never takes away their need for kindness, dignity, friendship and connection.

From our Lewisham & Southwark office, we’re proud to stand alongside those affected and to help raise awareness in our local community.

Every person has a story. Every story matters. And every moment of connection is worth holding onto. 💜
