Bluebird Care (Lewes), part of the UK's leading home care network, have won the country's top accolade in franchising. Following a rigorous judging process Bluebird Care were awarded Gold at this year’s bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards.

To win the Franchisor of the Year award Bluebird Care demonstrated to a panel of judges the company’s excellent support to employees, strong company culture, leadership in innovation and commitment to franchising ethics. This ethos is a top down approach and locally the offices adopt exactly the same approach.

In the last year Bluebird Care (Lewes) has embraced new technology (the PASS system) to ensure that the care provided by each carer is safer and more responsive, thus ensuring the care delivered to each individual is as that individual wishes. This system allows for a ‘real time’ double check of every care activity for every visit conducted by each member of the care team.

Gary Johnson, Bluebird Care (Lewes) commented:

We are delighted that Bluebird Care has been recognised by the franchise sector in this way. There have been many developments this year at our local Bluebird Care (Lewes) office. Our teams have been working exceptionally hard to ensure that the care we deliver is the best in the area. Whilst we are a nationally recognised brand, working to exceptional high standards, we work for and serve the local community and are very proud to do so.

Pip Wilkins QFP, Chief Executive at the bfa, said:

Bluebird Care’s achievement is truly inspiring and as judges, we couldn’t help but notice the team’s hard work and overall excellence in growing their franchise. We are excited to see how the business shapes itself in the near future.
Andrew Brattesani, UK Head of Franchising at HSBC, added:

All finalists were exceptional and therefore selecting the winners was a difficult decision. I was genuinely impressed by Bluebird Care and wish the team further success as they grow their business.
