Bluebird Care Leicester is proud and excited to announce the launch of its new care and support service for Children.

The demand for care and support for children with physical and learning disabilities in Leicester and Leicestershire is high and growing.

As such, we have identified a gap in service providers for such a valuable service in the local community

A team has been set up to address this shortage and provide an effective family orientated service to take the burden away from the Council’s Disabled Children’s Service

Bluebird Care Leicester will provide the same premium service to children with physical and learning disabilities that we have been providing to adults for the last 10 years.

Ours Children’s service is primarily aimed to cut the backlog of children registered with the local authority to receive care and support. We will also be available for private enquiries and signpost to relevant services if we are not able to help ourselves.

This will create at least 12 jobs for support staff who will be highly trained to handle to demands and realities of such a position.

The areas of expertise will be within the Autistic spectrum and will be available to children from 5 years of age through to teenage years and to Transitions and beyond.

The service will encompass help with independence from 17 years of age and upwards as well as assisting with supported living when moving to an independent living arrangement.

Bluebird Care Leicester owner Jay Ghaghda said  “We have placed ourselves to plug the gap between supply and demand for support services to children in Leicester.

"The pandemic has caused many providers to close and now that lockdown has eased, children can again be  taken out into the community with the support of our trained staff.”
