Over £1200 raised for St Johns Hospice
A team of 8 Bluebirds has put pedal power behind a fantastic cause on 13th Sept, completing an 81-mile cycle challenge that raised over £1200 for St John’s Hospice, our chosen Charity of the Year.
Working in relay, the team completed the famous Bay Cycleway route from Barrow to Glasson Dock in a fantastic 9.5 hours. It pushed every single member of the team way out of their comfort zone, as we are none of us regular cyclists. But nerves turned to joy as each member of the team successfully completed their leg
The guys at SJP do great work for the Morecambe Bay area - we all know someone who has benefited from their care and they need more funds. And this year, the hospice is celebrating a special birthday......
The 8 who took part were Alyson, Jana, David, Sinead (partly accompanied by Isaac aged 4), Cheryl, Claire, Sam, Rachel. Massive round of applause to these guys. And what great fun we had along the way, as well as a bit of blood, sweat and tears.......
