Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea Supporting Dignity Action Day

Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea is supporting Dignity Action Day 2015 which is on Sunday 1st February and it is encouraging everyone to take the opportunity to contribute to upholding peoples rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people receiving care.

Dignity Action Day (DAD) aims to ensure people are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.

Anna Marie David, Director at Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea said:

"Dignity Action Day is part of the national Dignity Campaign trying to raise awareness of everyones need to treat people with dignity and respect at all times. At Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea dignity is one of our values on which we provide services to our customers.  Treating people with dignity needs to go past just one day.  We are encouraging everyone to remember to see the person you are interacting with, nothing else ."

Supporting Dignity Action Day will:

  • Bring to the forefront of peoples minds the importance of Dignity in Care
  • Remind everybody that they have a role to play in upholding Dignity in Care
  • Remind us all that everyone we interact with has a right to be treated with dignity and respect

At Bluebird Care dignity is one of the fundamental values that we work to on a daily basis but we have still asked our care staff to go the extra mile this Sunday.   We hope that the sense of well being that DAD will create for everyone, the givers and receivers, will promote an ongoing commitment to dignity in our community.
