Bluebird Care Supports Age UK’s ‘Spread the Warmth’ Campaign

This winter 24,000 people could die from the cold - that's 200 deaths a day that could be prevented.

Bluebird Care Supports Age UK’s ‘Spread the Warmth’ CampaignSpread the Warmth is Age UK's integrated campaign to help older people stay warm and well in winter. To achieve this local Age UKs provide services and free information and advice. Age UK is also campaigning for warm homes so that older people don't suffer in winter.

Bluebird Care (Islington) have teamed up with the local branch of Age UK to support the fantastic work they do every winter. We have donated 15 blankets to the campaign, to be distributed via the Age UK network to those who most need them. The blankets were all wrapped as Christmas presents and placed under the tree at the local Age UK Day Centre (The Drovers Centre), seen here with Polly Seward, who manages the centre.

We look forward to supporting the team at Age UK Islington throughout 2014.
