From humble beginnings with our opening in 2004 in Petersfield, we have grown to become the largest homecare provider in the UK, with over 200 franchises and 10,000 employees nationwide. And that’s only part of the story.
Over the years, Bluebird Care has won numerous awards for our outstanding care services, including accolades from the prestigious Great British Care Awards and Home Care Awards. In 2022, we were proud to be ranked among the top 20 home care groups and providers in the UK by the leading home care review site, www.homecare.co.uk, placing us at the top of 678 home care groups and 10,641 home care providers across the country.
Our growth has also been reflected in the range and quality of services we provide. Many of our offices provide specialised care for specific medical conditions and have introduced health and wellbeing checks to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients.
One notable success story from within our organisation is Allen Vanderwyk-Coyne. Starting as one of the first care experts at our first franchise office in Bluebird Care Mid-Staffs, he has been an integral part of our team. Now the director of the franchise, Allen exemplifies the dedication and opportunities of growth that Bluebird Care offers.
As a franchise business, we are also committed to ethical and supportive franchising. And it's this dedication that has led us to become a finalist in the Business Transformation category at the BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards 2024. Our incredible team of care experts, many of whom have won awards at events such as the Stars of Social Care Awards and Leaders in Care Awards, exemplify our high standards.
Throughout Bluebird Care, our team consistently goes above and beyond to support our customers and causes close to our hearts. Currently, our offices are actively fundraising to help us meet our £50,000 pledge to Alzheimer’s Society, a charity dedicated to researching and supporting those living with dementia.
Throughout August and September, we’re marking our 20th anniversary with a series of tea parties across Bluebird Care offices nationwide. These special events will bring together care experts, customers and local communities to celebrate together whilst also providing an opportunity to raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
