2018 marks out fifth year of operation in the borough of Hounslow & Chiswick and we are delighted to be celebrating with some firsts!

We recently visited our customer June; whose late husband John was our first customer. We now provide support to June following a stroke.

June is 84 and lives in the house that she purchased with her husband in 1959. The support that we provide enables her to remain at home in her familiar surroundings and where she is most familiar.

June has lived and worked in the local area for a large part of her life and explains:
I have so many happy memories here! In addition to this, I have some wonderful memories our wonderful holidays at our holiday home in Clacton where John and I used to very much enjoy our cycling breaks.

Throughout my life I have worked hard and followed the motto of ‘living with the glass half full’.

This is my secret to how I have remained so positive since my stroke which severely affected my mobility and has now caused me to be unable to leave my bed without a lot of assistance.

I have a regular Care Assistant Jane who visits me and helps me wash, dress, sit up and assist with my medication. Jane also helps with my food; she makes a particularly good meal of cauliflower cheese with apple pie and custard!

Jane also takes me out quite regularly. In the past week or so we have been to visit Starbucks as well as enjoying a fish and chip meal.

I would like to thank Jane and the team at Bluebird Care Hounslow & Chiswick for the homecare support that they provide as it really does make a big difference.
Managing Director, Sai, commented:
When we first opened Bluebird Care Hounslow & Chiswick half a decade ago it was people like Jane and her late husband John who we were so eager to support.

This is those for whom, without homecare support, would mean leaving loved ones and the familiar environment of home that our service is tailored to.

I am proud to be celebrating this important milestone in our business and would like to thank our incredible team of staff who make such a difference every day. June’s story is just one example of this.

We look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries to come!
