Ray & Sheila - The Difference Our Team Make

As part of our #MakeADifference campaign, we recently spent some time with customer Ray and his wife to hear about the difference that the care they receive makes. As well as the support that we provide, Ray cares for Sheila who is living with a learning disability and helps her with day to day tasks.
As part of our #MakeADifference campaign, we recently spent some time with customer Ray and his wife to hear about the difference that the care they receive makes.Ray, who is an avid Chelsea fan and never misses a home game either live or on TV, lives with his wife Sheila in the house they have done so for over 20 years.
As well as the support that we provide, Ray cares for Sheila who is living with a learning disability and helps her with day to day tasks.
Ray explained:
The visits from Bluebird Care make a big difference to my quality of life and I really quite look forward to them as I have made some good friends with those who visit.
At the moment I have support getting out to a fair number of appointments, but generally have help with trips out such as to see the football and tennis.
I really value the time that I have going out and have been so visit so many places including Kew, Gunnersbury, my local garden centre cafe and even occasionally out for lunch on Twickenham Green!
I was born in Hounslow and have lived here for my whole life. The Care Assistants who visit are invaluable to me and I would like to thank them for everything they do.
We visit Sheila, Ray's wife on a Thursday to take her out to her Speak Out group. She explained:

I have been part of the Speak Out group for a very long time and is has a positive impact on me. I have a regular Care Assistant who takes me and she is lovely.
Particularly with the group being in the late afternoon and it being dark in the winter, I would not be able to go if I did not have the support that is in place so am incredibly thankful.
