Care assistants who have recently joined Bluebird Care Herefordshire have just received two training sessions on emergency life support from Herefordshire Heartstart.

On 11 September Laurie, Laura, Hollie, Maddy and Helen attended a training session by Herefordshire Heartstart. which was followed by a further session on 5 October for Tash, Amy, Elaine and Linda.

Herefordshire Heartstart is a voluntary organisation established in 1996, to teach the people of Herefordshire emergency life support skills. These skills are the actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives. Essential in a rural community such as ours.

Their instructors are volunteers from various walks of life, but they don’t receive any government or British Heart Foundation funding, so every donation is always hugely valuable to them.

We are delighted to donate £250 in appreciation of their excellent training.
