Older people and their families living in the London Borough of Havering were invited along to the Harold Hill Community Centre, Romford, recently to enjoy some free coffee and cake.

The event was organised by Bluebird Care, an organisation that provides care and support to people living in their own homes – and was especially put together to say thank you to all their customers.

Alvin Osei-Tutu, Managing Director at Bluebird Havering, said:

“As an organisation at the heart of the community, we have a heart to host and support events that benefit local people.

Too often people, especially the elderly, feel isolated and lonely in their own homes – which is why it’s important to have events like this that people can attend.”

Free coffee and cake, with a bit of light entertainment, were served throughout the event!
